The first step is to choose the right graphics tablet for you. There are many different models on the market, so it’s important to do your research and find one that fits your needs. Some factors you may want to consider include price, size, features, and software compatibility.

Choosing a tablet is not as straightforward as choosing a graphic tablet, but if you know what you want, it may be fairly simple.

There are two tablet platforms to choose from: iPad and Android Tablet.

When selecting a tablet, you must understand what you want. For example, the iPad has better graphics software, but an Android tablet can be purchased for a very low price and has a pretty decent app for drawing to, and recently, krita has come to the Android platform, which is a pretty good alternative to Photoshop.

Choose a software to draw in it.

Once you have chosen a graphics tablet, you need to decide which software to use with it. Most tablets come bundled with their own proprietary software, but there are also many other options available depending on your needs and preferences. Popular drawing programs include Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchbook Pro, and Manga Studio.

  • Windows: Photoshop, Krita, FireAlpaca, Clip Studio Paint
  • Linux: Krita, GIMP, Pinta
  • MacOS: FireAlpaca, Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop
  • iPad: Procreate, Photoshop, Affinity Designer, Clip Studio Paint
  • Android: Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Illustrator Draw, Ibis Paint, MediBang Paint, Krita

Get inspiration from other artists.

One of the best ways to improve your own artwork is by studying the work of other artists. Browse through galleries or watch video tutorials online to see how others approach their drawings and get inspired by their techniques.
